Most likely you will have no idea you are pregnant until at least week three. That's when I finally figured it out. I walked around for three days thinking I had food poisoning.  So yes, if you are nauseated and sick to your stomach, you could be pregnant. And by the way, morning sickness is a ridiculous name for it. It would be called "Morning Noon and Night Sickness" because most likely you will feel like hurling 24 hours a day seven days a week.  I have yet to meet a mommy who only had "morning sickness" in the morning.

Eat a lot of Ginger!  Buy a case or two of Ginger-Ale and have it by your bed.  Trader Joe's sells a good Ginger Ale candy that cuts the nausea in half, but the candies are coated with sugar and that made me nauseated too!  After I got through the sugar coating it was almost instant relief ... for about ten minutes.  Let me tell you ...10 minutes of not wanting to vomit in the first 12 weeks is a God sent.  Yes, you read it right.  Most likely, you will have "Morning Noon and Night Sickness" for the next 12 weeks.  Sorry for the bad news.  Here is a list of things that also have been said to work wonders; Licorice, Peaches, The famous Salteen crackers ( I prefer Ritz Crackers) Ice Cream, Sorbet, Spicy Mexican food, Yes I am listing Pickles and Ginger Altoids.  Keep whatever food that doesn't make you sick to your stomach right next to the bed and before attempting to ever get up ALWAYS eat something first! Trust me, if it only helps a little, it makes a big difference. Every time I forgot to eat something and got up out of bed I thought I was going to hurl all over Daddy Nose and OH! Did I mention Doggy Nose?  He was sleeping with us right up until Baby Nose was born and then the poor nosy dog got the good boot right out of bed and onto the floor. The dog was shocked.  I will have a whole entire webpage just for doggies, don't you worry!
