FOR MOMMIES TO BE!

1. When you wake up start the morning with meditation music. Even if you aren't meditating it will soothe you, your baby and the house hold. And do try to take some time to meditate. I do it while dancing to the Grace CD I am so enthralled with.

2. Start eating 5 to 6 small meals a day. Don't exceed 500 calories per meal and eliminate all sugar from your diet. As you breast feed you will drop the pounds like hot cakes!  Now - if I can just keep me greasy hands off the mud pie!

3. Join a yoga Mommy and Me class. You will be glad you did. It's a great place to meet other mommies and the babies love the class.

4. When your baby gets too big for their onsie you can take a pair of scissors and cut off the bottom part. Now you have a T Shirt that fits!

5. Get a cool looking diaper bag. You will be glad you did!

6. Do not use plastic bottles no matter what the sales people say!  They cause breast cancer in girls and Prostate cancer in boys!  Only use glass!

7. When installing your car seat buy the Mighty Tite. This is a must have that really makes sure the car seat goes in tight and stays in tight. The El Monte Chief of Police recommended this one!  He uses it for his own baby.

8. Stay home and be a mother! No matter how important your job may have been being a mom is better!  Don't rush back to work and miss this! Nothing is worth missing this first year. Give yourself a year with your kid before you race back to work!  This American 6 week leave of absence is a joke!  American culture gives no respect to mothers and children. If you want respect you have to take it. Take this year for you!  It's yours.

9. For the first 8 weeks make a space for your pet to be where he is happy, but separated from the baby. Those first 8 weeks are crucial and there's a chance the baby could develop an allergy to the dog or cat if exposed too soon. After 8 weeks they can kiss! But watch out!  My dog actually kissed Baby Nose so much he almost licked his lungs!

10. If your baby is crying a lot, I can't beg you enough to go and get the HAPPIEST BABY ON THE BLOCK and follow the directions!  This is a must have for all parents. It works! It really does!
